Poker Strategy - wait for the good hands and push out the bad hands
That is the basic strategy, now how do you improve your poker strategy?
Well I have been playing poker บาคาร่า99 now for about 4 years, I have learnt a lot during those 4 years, however I still make the same mistakes, the same negative and mediocre plays I always do.
When you are just starting out, all you can think about is getting a good hand, a premium hand, you will constantly be tempted to play when you have a premium hand however, its just so easy to get drawn into a pot when you have a big hand, like Aces or Kings, because you know you have the best hand, that's why you are here.
pert poker players always say, don't put a lot of weight on a hand if it's not a high card, it's really easy to get away from when you are in the blind, just limp and wait for a better hand.
When you are in the blind you should be playing a little more tight, wait for a good hand, but only if you don't have a good hand, of course you still need to be betting but you should be more selective.
Wait for a good hand even when you have a mediocre hand, this is a very important aspect of poker.
If you limp into a pot you look weak, if you don't have a good hand you look weak.
When you are in the blind and next to act you can't really afford to be losing chips, unless you are sure you will win the pot.
The blinds are so low if you miss the flop you won't make a lot of money, especially if there is a lot of action and there is a possibility of a big raise behind you.
So you should be playing a little more tight in the early stages and tighter in the later stages of the tournament.
The reason this is important is because the stack sizes of players will generally be much smaller in the later stages because people are either going to fold or until the money so going all in is a good option.
So you can't afford to play a lot of hands because the chances of you getting a good hand are slim as people are going to call you with any cards.
In the early stages you can afford to be quite aggressive and steal blinds and antes, this helps to build your stack size and also helps to weed out players so that you can go for relatively straightforward rounds of building your stack.
Don't worry about money until later in the tournament, the most important thing is to build your stack!
Once you have built your stack by defending it and by picking off the small stacks, the only thing left to do is to wait for a good hand.
But don't wait too long if you can help it, the longer you wait the tighter the competition will become.
Wait for a good hand and play it aggressively, this is the most important thing you can take away from this article.
Once you have a good hand you want to be sure you are going to win before you spend any money in the hand.
Don't hesitate to bet - you should always be confident in your hand unless it is obvious, like if you are holding 2 high cards and the board has paired it could be very dangerous!
Once you have picked up a good hand you can begin to use more loudive strategies such as three betting (raising the bet in 3 consecutive betting rounds) and semi-bluffing (betting with a hand that could possibly improve dramatically on the turn or river).
These strategies are not foolproof and will need you to be playing with a lot of different people, with different hands, in different positions.
But if you can master these principles and have some slight edge you will be well on your way to being a great player.
I hope you enjoyed this Texas Hold Em lesson and wish you the best in your future poker career.
